Aviko and Eurofrits In Strategic Alliance
Aviko and Eurofrits are now cooperating in Spain and Portugal through a strategic marketing alliance for their frozen potato products.
“We expect that both our companies can benefit considerably from the cooperation,” said Enrique de la Pedraja, chief executive officer of Eurofrits. “We see great customer value coming out of this arrangement and we will aim for doubling our sales in the upcoming two years,” added Peter Dekker his counterpart at Aviko.
Both companies want to create a mutual dedicated sales organization- for Spain and Portugal, and see multiple opportunities to work together Their immediate aims:
•Increase customer value through offering complementary products and thereby increasing the service level to existing customers in Iberian markets.
• Capitalize on expertise on multiple product concepts and custosmer insights, thereby creating future additional business opportunities for new and existing customers
Eurofrits, based in Burgos, Spain, is mayor placer in meat and fish as well as frozen potato products, but is the only Spanish productor of potato products and has a well-establishcd commercial network covering both Spain and Portugal.But it also has sales in 20 other countries, and is committed to new product development.
Steenderen, the Netherlands headquamtered Aviko, another leading supplier of potato products with a turnover of approximately 450 million euros a year, sells its products in 75 countries in Europe and overseas. It produces sorne 40 different potato products, holding a 20% market share in Europe, and aims to be a total solution partner on potato products for its customers. Aviko sells chilkled as well as frozen potato products, and reportedly leads the European market in the chilled segment with a 40% share
