Eurofrits, S.A. Receives Double Certification in Food Safety
Eurofrits received both British Retail Consortium (BRC) Food Technical Standard - level A and Internacional Food Standard (IFS) – higher level - for its pre-cooked products plant located in Burgos
This double certification was authorized by EFSIS, the food division of SAI Global – world leader in providing norms and standards. Eurofrits have received the IFS certification with one of the best results of its category with a final score of 99,53% for foundation level and 100% for higher level. The BRC-IFS guarantees food safety throughout the production chain and puts the emphasis on good handling and traceability practices. It is applicable to all kinds of food processing and establishes requirements for facilities, equipment, personnel, manufacturing processes, food-safety management and quality management.
Eurofrits’ quality-management system certified in accordance with UNE-EN-ISO 9001:2000 (ENAC and UKAS), granted by BVQI, has been recently upgraded for the Burgos-located factory that manufactures frozen pre-cooked products and frozen French fries in different cuts. This standard, based on quality-management principles, is fundamental for good business management and Eurofrits has been adopting it for years to ensure constant improvement.
