Eurofrits&Aviko–Newind Foods, Five-Time World Champions in the J80 Sailing Class
We have exciting news to celebrate at Eurofrits—another major sporting milestone that fills us with pride: Eurofrits&Aviko–Newind Foods has once again been crowned World Champion in the prestigious J80 sailing class, earning its fifth world title after previous victories in 2019, 2021, 2023, and 2024. The team made history by being crowned world champion for the third consecutive time at the Championship held in Nieuwpoort (Belgium), a city that holds special meaning for us due to its proximity to one of our partner Aviko’s production facilities, located in Proven, Poperinge.
Our warmest congratulations go to our crew: brothers Javier Padrón (Skipper) and Alberto Padrón, Jon Larrazábal, Daniel Enrique de la Pedraja, and Alba Ponce, an exceptionally talented sailor at just 13 years of age.

At Eurofrits, we are incredibly proud of this new victory and would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the team for carrying the Eurofrits&Aviko-Newind Foods name to the very top of the international sailing scene. This achievement not only reinforces the team’s global leadership in the J80 class, but also exemplifies the commitment, perseverance, and teamwork that define our corporate culture at Eurofrits.
This year’s championship featured a total of 58 boats competing over five days, with 12 races in total. The Eurofrits&Aviko-Newind Foods boat, helmed by Javier Padrón, achieved an outstanding performance across the board. “It was a championship with four very strong contenders—since day one, we were battling at the front of the fleet. Anyone could have won, but we managed to maintain a high level of consistency. Always finishing in the top 4 gave us a small but decisive edge in points,” explained the skipper of the Eurofrits&Aviko-Newind Foods boat.

Thank you for making us dream, for embodying our values, and for taking us, once again, to the very top. Congratulations, team!
