Eurofrits&Aviko-Newind Foods, Sailing World Champions for the fourth time in the J80 category

At Eurofrits we are celebrating, and no wonder. Eurofrits&Aviko-NWF has once again been crowned World Champion in the prestigious J80 Sailing class, reaching its fourth world title. Our most sincere congratulations to the members of the crew, with the brothers and sailors of the Real Club Náutico de Gran Canaria Javier and Alberto Padrón at the head, together with the 12 year old sailor Alba Ponce, Jon Larrazabal and our CEO, Daniel de La Pedraja. From Eurofrits we cheer the team and enjoy their proclamation as world champions in La Rochelle (France).

This year’s competition was particularly close, with 70 boats taking part and showing an impressive level of skill and determination. However, it was in race 6 that our spectacular comeback began. With a truly thrilling finish, our team proved once again why they are the best.

This triumph is not only a source of pride for all of us at Eurofrits, but also reinforces our values of teamwork, perseverance and constant improvement. Just as in our day-to-day work, in the competition we have shown that with effort and passion, we can achieve any goal.

Our triumph adds to a weekend full of good news for Spanish sport, with the victory of tennis player Carlos Alcaraz at Wimbledon and the proclamation of the Football Spanish National Team as Champion of Euro 2024. Great reasons to celebrate and to be proud of our athletes.

The next championship will take place in Nieuwport (Belgium), next to Aviko’s Poperinge factory, from 4 to 7 July 2025.
